Pelican Sunrise

Back when we first moved to the Outer Banks, I would spend my days walking the beaches of Kitty Hawk and Kill Devil Hills, with the occasional trip to Nags Head and Buxton.
I was fascinated with the pelicans. I was like a little boy when I saw them. I could be in the middle of a conversation and if I saw pelicans, I would excuse myself and shoot away.
I was convinced that my devotion meant something to them and they would pose for me. It may or may not be true, that they posed for me, but you'd be hard-pressed to prove me wrong.
