The Exasperator
· by Roy Edlund

Recently I was called an exacerbator. It hit me kind of hard thinking they thought I had a natural gift of making a difficult situation worse.
I racked my brain trying to recall any situation that applied to me.
Have I ever made a bad situation worse? I'm sure I have, but I didn't see a pattern.
So, I fretfully confronted this person to give me an example, not wanting to learn this about me, if it were true.
After a few minutes, it became clear that the word they meant to use was exasperator.
So, instead of exacerbating the situation over their exasperating misuse of a word, I chose to meliorate our situation and go about my day.
Okay, I admit to being an exasperator, but I always thought I was a lovable one. ❤
